Both Fort Nelson and Fort St. John rallies postponed until early next week
Today’s scheduled rain has put a bit of a damper on MLA Dan Davies’ planned protest against the ongoing ER closures at hospitals in the northeast.
The rallies were to take place today at 4 p.m. in Fort Nelson and Fort St. John, but are now rescheduled to Monday, July 29 at 4 p.m. at Davies’ office in Fort Nelson; and Tuesday, July 30 at 4 p.m. at the green space at 100 Street and 100 Avenue in Fort St. John.
Davies encourages residents to bring signs, and lawn chairs because both events feature speakers and are planned to last an hour.
The Fort Nelson rally will feature Davies and Northern Rockies Regional Municipality’s Mayor Rob Fraser, as speakers.
The pair will also speak at Tuesday’s rally in Fort St. John, along with Fort St. John Mayor Lilia Hansen, and Hudson’s Hope Mayor Travous Quibell.
