With just over a week left until Election Day, the advance polls opened today. If you don’t wish to, or can’t vote in-person on April 28, the advance polls are open from Friday, April 18 to Monday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

In Fort St. John, the Advance Polling Station is located at the Fort St. John Curling Rink at 9504 96 Street.

Check your voter cards for your polling station location on Election Day. In Fort St. John, the polling station will be located at the Senior Citizen’s Hall at 10908 100 Street. In Charlie Lake, for Area C voters, the polling station is at the Charlie Lake Community Hall, located behind the Charlie Lake Store.

A number of people in Charlie Lake have received voter cards with Upper Halfway Elementary School listed as their polling station.

According to the Returning Officer, those who have received cards with incorrect polling stations listed can vote at their regular polling place, ie: Charlie Lake Community Hall.

Charlie Lake residents, or anyone whose voter card directs you to vote at the wrong location, ask for one of these forms at your proper polling station if you encounter difficulties.

If you experience any difficulties in voting at the “proper” location, ask for a Transfer Certificate at the Registration Desk.
