Happy Grey Cup Sunday!! Hope everyone is having a great weekend – who’s your pick to win today, Alouettes or the Roughriders?

Fun CFL fact of the day, did you know that Fort St. John’s Doug Petersen (yes, the Remax real estate agent) was a defensive lineman with the Alouettes in 1996-1998 and earned Eastern Division All-Star honours in 1997 and 1998? That was after he was part of the BC Lions when they won the 82nd Grey Cup in 1994, his first year with the CFL, after being drafted from Simon Fraser University in the 1992 college draft.

But enough football, the broken typewriter has news!

We have a new look and a new logo!

As much as I love the concept of my Mum’s 1965 Olivetti Lettera 32 representing this wee publication, the logo was too busy and it really wasn’t representative of what the broken typewriter is.

Without further ado, here’s the new and improved branding:

Hope you like it. This is something that could become swag – anyone want a pen?

Have a fabulous weekend!
